Open water sessions will be chartered through Vicarious Charters.

Open water sessions are not included in the cost of the course.  The charter cost will be $130 per person (per session: 1 session Freedivers, 2 sessions Intermediates) and is paid directly to Vicarious before boarding the boat. 

Accommodations:

A simple Google search will leave you with endless options for accommodations in the Manteo area.  Since our classroom, confined water, and ocean sessions are conveniently located in close proximity to each other we recommend searching in this area. 

Airbnb is never a bad idea.

Flights:

Managing flights from pretty much anywhere shouldn’t be too complicated. Manteo is host to the Dare County Regional Airport which is useful for charters. Otherwise flights should be searched from larger airports in the surrounding area including Norfolk, VA or Raleigh, NC.  Both ORF and RDU host major carriers.

Car Rentals/Transportation:

If possible, we recommend driving. This way you get to view historic Hwy 12. Take an extra day and drive the strip of sand all the way to Hatteras Village. If you have plenty of time, we highly recommend catching a ferry over to Okracoke Island for a day’s visit.
