A simple Google search will leave you with endless options for accommodations in Grand Cayman.  As the largest and most developed of the three Caymanian islands you’ll find every creature comfort available in the US.

Since our course sponsor, Stingray Watersports is located in the West Bay area we recommend staying somewhere close.  This includes the northern section of 7 mile beach all the way to Hell-check out the map :).  Below are some accommodations we recommend at all different price points.

Please note that we are happy to book you accommodations at Coconut Bay Condos in a condo with other students if you would like this group option.  Let us know if you are interested in this.  There will be a surcharge for the booking of $100 USD.

Coconut Bay Condos

West Bay, Grand Cayman

3 bedroom, 3.5 bath condominium units with access to two swimming pools, shore diving and beach area.  The owner of Stingray Watersports also manages this location and is onsite at all times in order to recommend dive spots, restaurants, etc.  Awesome dive spot and nice restaurant located just next door.  This is where you will be placed with other students if you opt for us to book your room.

Jeff’s Place

Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman

2 bedroom, 2 bath house located very close to Stingray Watersports and restaurants.  Comfortable and accommodating.

Cobalt Coast Resort

West Bay, Grand Cayman

All of the amenities of a resort including restaurant and pool.  2 different room types available.  Amazing view…as with most of the island.

Managing flights from pretty much anywhere should be simple traveling to Grand Cayman.  The island is cosmopolitan and the Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM)  accepts many major carriers and even has flights running daily to some US cities.  The link below is a great resource for booking your flight:

Cayman Airways

The national flag carrier of the Cayman Islands.  Runs flights daily from Miami, FL, four days of the week from Tampa, FL and New York-JFK, two days from Chicago, IL and seasonally from Dallas, TX among other Caribbean cities.

US Airways

Non-stop flights from Charlotte and Philadelphia.  Flights from Charlotte, NC daily and Philadelphia, PA Saturdays.

Delta Airlines

Flights running from the Atlanta, GA hub three days per week and from New York-JFK once weekly.  Once weekly seasonal service from Minneapolis, MN and Detroit MI.

Car Rentals:

Rentals are easy in the Caymans and you’ll have your pick of companies to rent from just across the street from the airport.  Rentals include compact cars, vans, SUVs, scooters, etc.  You must be 21 to rent a car.

Public Transport:

There is a great bus system that runs through the island.  The cost per bus is around $2.00/ride.  We have experience navigating the island this way and it works great if you’re mostly interested in staying around your accommodation but venturing out relatively close (West Bay to Georgetown).
